INTRODUCTION
Doi Inthanon Thailand by UTMB® was established to be a trail running event with the goal of promoting exercise and tourism in the national park area. This international event aims to showcase the breathtaking beauty of Thailand's nature to the world.
The main responsible agency for the event is the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, overseen by the Sports Authority of Thailand. They collaborate with Chiang Mai Province, along with other government and private agencies. The event is operated by Running Connect Co., Ltd. The Sports Authority of Thailand has made efforts to establish it as an annual international program, aiming to select a venue for the competition that holds significant national importance, such as Doi Inthanon National Park. This park is renowned for its highest peak in Thailand, Doi Inthanon, and has obtained a license from UTMB® International to ensure the competition maintains a world-class standard of excellence.
The 5th edition in December 2024 will be Asia-Pacific Major of UTMB® World Series. To enhance convenience and accommodate a larger number of runners, the main venue for the event will be relocated to Chiang Mai PAO Park in Chiang Mai Province. This move aims to provide better support and facilities for participants
